Verizon customers in nine states and the District of Columbia can now use American Sign Language and either a videophone or Web camera to communicate directly with the company about service-related issues. Verizon's Center for Customers with Disabilities first made this customer service support available in 2007 in Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. Verizon has since expanded the support to Delaware, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
