Verizon Wins Approval from New York University to Install FiOS Services in Faculty Housing

Verizon has reached an agreement with New York University to install its FiOS network in the university's faculty housing in the Greenwich Village area in Manhattan. FiOS Internet and TV are powered by Verizon's all-fiber-optic network, which the company is building in all five boroughs of the city. Installation work at NYU's Silver Towers and Washington Square Village began August 3. And faculty members living in one of the 2,300 units will be able to order the new services near the beginning of the fall semester.

Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, toured the urban campus recently to discuss the details of the apartment installations and the benefits of FiOS services.
